Computer Studies 7010 or 0420 O levels May June Paper

Hi all,

Can you please help me out as its too late to wait till August 3rd week when the May June Question paper is released, to know what CIE is asking in the new syllabus.

* How many questions in all came on Logic Gates, and if you can remember for how many marks!
* How many questions on GPS
* Were questions on Excel, Databases given?
* Was the paper the traditional format of Question 1 with five definitions to be explained or did it really take shape of the Specimen Paper?

You help will be highly appreciated!

I believe there was just a single question with about 3 parts, somewhere in between 5-10 marks (I don't remember the exact number). Basically there was a diagram with some gates connected together and we had to fill in a truth table with 4 inputs. Then we had to write down what gate the output resembled, if that made sense. The gates did incorporate NAND and NOR, BTW.

"How many questions on GPS"

From what I remember there was no question related to GPS.

"Were questions on Excel, Databases given?"

Don't think there was any about Database but yeah there was a question about Excel. Kind of a generic one like they gave in previous years.

"Was the paper the traditional format of Question 1 with five definitions to be explained or did it really take shape of the Specimen Paper?"

Nope, the five definitions didn't come. I think a question regarding the Data Protection Act came instead..? I'm not sure.
