Just a rough guess but if you get 90% in your A2 paper it will be A.

Actually different for each subjects..

As far as I know you can even get A* in A Levels, the A* is totally based on how you do in your A2 papers and if you score more than 90% the A* is yours.

I know a person who got his D converted into a B. So i believe a B can be transformed to A*
