Do's and Don'ts on Cambridge AS and A2 Levels?

So, its stuck inside my head. My Biology teacher said that, if I leave one question blank on my question paper, the examiner will give me a U. Is this true?

Earlier today, I did my AS Biology Paper 2 (essay) and I forgot to do this 1-point question. I think I did pretty well. Now, I know getting a U because of leaving one question blank is ridiculous, but is there any penalty for leaving a question blank? Will I get a mark deduction or something? I'm new to the whole A Level thing. Thanks a bunch.

That's like being marked 0 on your heart diagram just because you forgot to label one of the arteries.. Okay now, that's a biology student talking, but I'm sure you get my point. Don't worry, sweets. They won't give you an U just because you skipped one question, only you won't get the marks assigned to that specific question. Good luck for your result. :)

Yeah. Thanks. Really cleared my head. Probably the examiner only wouldn't give me any marks. A lot of my friends are telling me I'm a little bit paranoid. My bio teacher happens tocbe a bit weird too :) so I won't count on her lol. Thanks again!

Yeah but giving the whole concept wrong about the examiners' marking techniques...it's like becoming someone's enemy
In CIE 80 % can be achieved by ur knowledge but the rest 20% is "understanding ur examiner requirements, the questions and answering to the limit of the question, not more, not less"
In CIE u r marked according to the "answers u produce in every question" ..they r bound to follow the marking schemes for each question as its the part of the agreement made
They don't judge u..that if ur first question is perfect.u shall be awarded excellent marks..etc.
Grudges and emotional turmoil r checked frequently among the examiners so that no bias attitude is adopted....

The CIE board is really cautious about its standards or else their prestige suffers

Your teacher is giving u a whole wrong scenario about the examiners...be careful in future about this...the last 20% are the easiest to loose by just a little misunderstanding
