Hi guys,

on Thursday I am writing the exam and I am not sure about few things. In the Q1, when we have to write a report - do I have to write above each paragraph a title? (Intro, XXX, XXX, and conclusion) my teacher told me so and it is also in a paper about report writing that he gave us, but when I was looking for some writing tips it was not mentioned at all.

What also concerns me is the Q2, I am not very good at analyzing and recognizing the meaning of the thing that the author wrote, I believe I can find some words and phrases. What I am asking for is some good phrases that could be used in the text, such as: 'this is implying that...', 'suggests that..' 'gives the impression of..' Basically some good phrases so I don't always use the same things.

Q3 is in my opinion giveaway points since you get 15! points just for finding the things that you are supposed to look for.

Thank you in advance for your replies!

EDIT: It is paper 2

Calm down. First Language English 0500 paper 2, right? I'm sitting for my exams this May as well.

You don't need to write any of that introduction, XXX, conclusion stuff. I never did, my teacher never told me to and I don't think so. They don't say it in the mark schemes nor is it in the examiner's report.

I always use in Q2 phrases that start with 'creating the image of', 'giving the idea that', 'which forms the idea/image', 'implying that'... etc.

One advice that I found VERY useful: Count your points in Q3.

Hope I could help. :)
Best of luck!
