EXPECTED marks for getting A*'s for IGCSE !!!

I asked my teachers to give me their expectations for getting A* in all subjects...
NOTICE :_they all have been teaching IGCSE for many years and they are experienced and my AS student friends also asked me to take their expectation
here are the needed marks>>>

1:_chemistry__for paper 1 you need (34)/40 paper 3 (54)/80 paper 6 (48)/60
2:_physics____for paper 1 you need (38)/40 paper 3 (43)/80 paper 6 (32)/40
3:_biology____for paper 1 you need (35)/40 paper 3 (52)/80 paper 6 (33)/40
4:_ICT______for paper 1 you need (78)/100 paper 2 (68)/80 paper 3 (63)/80
5:_maths____for paper 2 you need (62)/70 paper 4 (114)/130
6:_english____for paper 2 you need(65)/84 paper 4 (29)/36

FOR getting A* in total<<<for chemistry you need 140/180 , biology 120/160 , physics 117/160,
for ICT 245/260 , maths 173/200 , english 100/120.........

those are the marks for VARIENT 2

That seems a little low. I think all those marks would be for A grade not A*, but that's what i think.

actually a little high , last year bio was 134/200 in here i calculated it , its 151/200 , i HIGHLY doubt it will go up 17 marks from last may/june session

thank GOD! i really hope maths is 173 i gave up all hope of getting an A* when people kept saying it is from atleast 185 ( i am getting about 185 to 182 ) as for other subjects i did varient 1 and i think i have done well i know this is just an expectation ..but man u made me feel really happy i hope that u have done well

yes i agreed with u but for paper 1 there were 17 question repeated!!!! and paper 6 was as normal but paper 3 was horrible >>>it comes to 117

Excuse me, did your teacher say it is the maximum marks for an A* or are they sure 100% that these marks will get you an A* especially in Physics I did horrible but 117 should get me an A*

Thanks for the info....do you know how the total marks for chemistry is 200 but when the total marks of each paper is added, we get 180. Then how is the total 200?
and how do we calculate our grade( which is out of 180) out of 200?

This is outdated, no use asking here.
Grade thresholds vary from year to year, depending on the separate components, variants, and the respective difficulty in the paper. And total raw marks for chemistry is 160, not 180 (P1=40, P2/P3=80, P4/P5/P6=40).
