EXTRA SUBJECTS PLZ HELP! Sociology, Travel&Tourism, Urdu B and Others!

Hi people! I need help in deciding Extra Subjects... i am thinking abt doing sociology, travel and tourism and urdu b without tuitions or academy...are they easy and can A or A*s be achieved without tuitions?? And how much time is required to prepare them???
(Incase these subjects are difficult then please recommend any other apart from World History, Commerce, AND Environmental Management cz ive already gotten 2A*s and 1A in them)

well Urdu b could be an option until you know that getting A*is impossible in it.,Usually sociology or environment is considered a way to go but i don't know a lot about it. I have given commerce,got A* but i memorized a whole book for it and worked very hard. so A*didn't came as the bonus at all.

Its not impossible. You can get a*. In our school usually 4-5 people get a*s (out of 50 students) in Urdu B CIE each year, so its not impossible

i personally prepared urdu B as u want to n got an A. u r rite, A* is not imposiible, infact it becomes a bit easier to get it if u can think of much creative ideas. i have no much idea about other 2 but i would suggest u that if u have somewhat even a little interest in them, u may go for it. don't think if its easy or difficult. I did mathematics in this way and got an A* (Alhamdullilah) So give priority to ur intersts.
I am somewhat interested in environmental managemnt so can u give me some advice on how u generally found the subject? and also tell me smthing about ur experience with world history

And i wudnt recommend world history...it was difficult for me even though i am veryyy good at history...the grade i got in it is All thanks to Allah!

Urdu B is very easy, just u need to know some examination techniques and u will excel. urdu A requires a bit more time for preparation than urdu B but if ur native language is urdu, u should have no problem. Whatever u say, urdu A is the real thing to be studied, it really worths the hardwork as it develops the real language skilss. i wanted to give urdu A but there was no one to guide me for it i.e exam techniques. i recommand u to go for urdu a as it is although not easier than urdu b but it will make u learn something u must learn

dont go for urdu A....simply its a wastage of time .....urdu B is a good option and its also very easy as comparing urdu A

It is on within forum i heard., it is usually considered too much.

bro in my school 15 students appeared in urdu B and 13 got A* in this may june 2012 session so ur saying is not rite

but its true that the threshold for Urdu B is very high ....like 104-105 /110 will only get A*

I am using the book of Ken Brown and i am doing self study. I don't have much idea for travel and tourism but i think its not that tough, if you are opting for it so check out its syllabus content and paper pattern and if you find it fine so go for it. The textbook about which i have heard for this subject is ' Cambridge career award in travel and tourism' by Ann Rowe and Smith.
