Before we begin, let me ask you this question: did you choose yourself to become a doctor or did your parents give you that idea of the ambition?
I want to be a software engineer when I get older. My advice is that try out some coding, you know. It's not that hard to get into. If it interests you, and you develop a 'crave' for coding, then that would be the way to go. Because let me remind you, software engineers do have an intense task, or so they claim ;)
Research the minimum requirements for the university you want to go to. Most of all, you've got to love coding because you will spend three quarter of your life doing it. How miserable would you be if you detest it? So take sone online tutorials, learn a programming language in the holidays(python preferably), and see of you are interested. If you are, develop an application in your holidays. I'm gonna do it.
And software engineering is not only just developing. You've got to think on how to break down and solve problems efficiently.

It depends...
Do you have an interest for Computers or for Biology?
What do you LIKE better?
Which of them causes tension to you?
What does your family recommend?
Can your family afford the costs for whatever you want to do?
Are you able to study for what you want to do?
Do you have any idea or experience of how you will be working on either of them?

Frankly speaking, biology is easy to understand but hard to carry out. Computers is hard to understand but easy to carry out.
I only recommend software engineer if you've got an interest for computers - do you know what a pseudocode is?
http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Scripting_Basics
That's a basics tutorial for a simple language that uses Java as its basis. When I started off I had no idea what was being talked about.... but now I do because I understand pseudocodes and coding..... So if you can't understand what's being said in the above tutorial, then I suggest you become a doctor.

Look, as I said, try out some programming. Look up some tutorials on the internet. You should try python. And then you'll see what you do.
It really depends on your passion. And if you do like computers a lot as someone pointed out, then it is for you. So if you try some programming, as I said, you will know.

If you like biology, it won't necessarily mean you'll love medicine. Because school biology cover such a vast scope, you never know. That's why I'm repeatedly trying to tell you to try programming and see if you like it. If you love programming and computers, you'll love being a software engineer. Please try learning python. Universities recommend it for beginners.

You would be interested in finding out that a large majority of people do not end up in the dream job/ the job they went to college for.

Programmer salaries vary depending on what company they work for and what position they have. There are positions such as Junior programmer, lead programmer, etc etc.
And the programmers write codes. Basically it's like the instructions which tell a program what to do, how to start etc.
Though you've already chosen doctor. Probably for the better.

For Computer Science, you require Math, Physics and optionally ICT/Computer Studies. However, this all varies depending on what you're specializing in.

I don't recommend the doctor profession, because It's rather stressful. A computer related job is more exotic, in my point of view.
