AOA!!

I think the ans. for this one is D....plus the examiner report says ''Only the more able candidates realised that from the piece of double-stranded DNA containing 6000 nucleotides, only one strand of 3000 nucleotides is used for transcription and translation.''

:%) y is the answer then given as B ?????

The answer is B. You only use one strand that is why divide 6000/2 to get 3000. Which is the number of nucleotides on one strand. 3 nucleotides code for one amino acid, hence, 3000/3=1000

there are many reasons 4 cholera remainin a sig disease in some parts of the world. these parts r normally under developed or developing with no proper sanitation facilities, no heatlth n safety reagulations and bills. furthermore, ppl frequently live n overcrowded regions with close interaction with each other so that if one person gets infected da whole community becomes infected n acts as a reservoir of infection for the spread. no proper treatment is made available to the public so that disease continues to persist.
hope this ans it :)

Overcrowding is not a reason for cholera, it's for the spread of TB. Cholera is only passed through faeces and interactions has nothing to do with it. For cholera you may include poor hygienic practices, lack of vaccinations and what has been quoted above.

What about Africa? It is not a congested area, still cholera persists. But in Europe where proper sanitations are available, the problem doesn't prevails even with the overcrowding. The points are not to be told about any disease BUT about cholera. You can just fit in every point in every other disease question.

I believe you should try to frame the answer yourself. Better for your learning. I, myself, am not good at making the structure of questions so I won't give you one which will give you more confusion. You just have to put the points in a paragraph, and you get the marks. No big deal. You don't need to use "heavy" english vocabulary, but Biological terms are always preferred.
