what do u mean using pythagoras theorem??
I know the formula to find midpoint cooordinates in the form (x,y)=>> ( [x1+x2]/2 , [y1+y2]/2 )
so that means x is adding the two x values and then divide by 2 and y value for midpoint is adding two y values of the line and divide by 2!!
if u are confused ,pls dont hesitate to ask!! :)

It would be a better idea if we combine all IGCSE , CIE and Edexcel forums in one.

That is when Pythagoras Theorem is used , x2-x1 would give you the Horizontal Part length , y2-y1 The vertical part , and apply Pythagoras to find the Hypotenuse which is the length of AB

use this formula=> root of [(x2 - x1)^2+ (y2 - y1)^2]
