[HELP] Mathematics P3: Inequalities involving modulus |x|

Can anyone explain to solve these type of following Inequalities?

For these type of examples:

1. |x-a| > |x+b|
2. x-a > |x|
3. a|x+b|> c
4. a|x+b| > |x+d|

Which method should I use, which method should I avoid for squaring both side?
Also how to use the squaring both side method?
