I'm confused the way CIE calculate marks for AS level.
For example, lets say physics. Maximum total mark for physics (9702) is 140 in As levels, so if a student gets 35 for P1, 50 for P2 & 35 for P3, does they add these marks together and divide it by 140 and then multiply by 100?
(120/140) x 100 = 85 (A)
Is this the way?
Because when I read the GT (2011 MJ)..there was a table which had my components and to receive an A the mark should be 87, to receive 87 do they calculate using the above equation?
