Part a): As the resultant value is 0, hence this means that the quantitative-value(y) of cosx and sinx is same, so you should figure out a point where the curves meet!! This is your answer!!!
Part b): You just have to see from the graph that what is the x-axis value, such that both the curves have a distance of 0.5 between eachother(0.5 is a value of y-axis)
