It also depends on the the syllabus content, but mainly you should memorize all facts and figures of the battles before and after the death of Holy Prophet (PBUH). The sayings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and quotations form the Quran are very important in almost all the Questions you answer. Then the articles of Faith and The Pillars of Islam are also a must. You must know detailed information about all of these. Then theres the specific Hadith and Ayats from the Quran (SPECIFIC TO THE SYLLABUS) and you you should know how to interpret it...
