hi guys pls in the file n9book how the ascending orders for two fields will be made and after the report is ready and previewed which record will be the first cus in the mark scheme the order in the date and not on the staff field\
pls i need it so much thnx alot all

You should not do the sorting in the query. You should u do this while you r doing the report int he report wizard.
If you think how to put the dates before the staff even if u did the sorting you can switch their position in the design view of the report.

first of all i wana thank u cus u r the only one helped me but really i still need help cus i done it in the report already but the q to make sorting ascending for both date and staff i did them in the report but which one will be sorted if i sort the date the staff wont sorted cus they r different and the markscheme not define it well could u help me more plzzzzzzzzzzzz

Your welcome, if you look at the data carefully there are many records with same dates, now the system will take the other choice that is now sort by the staff. For example (this is not from the file)

DATE STAFF SALES
1/2/2011 AR 10
1/1/2011 ST 20
1/3/2011 TU 15
1/1/2011 AR 20
1/2/2011 TU 5

AFTER APPLYING TWO SORTING (DATE=ASCENDING & STAFF=ASCENDING)

DATE STAFF SALES
1/1/2011 AR 20
1/1/2011 ST 20
1/2/2011 AR 10
1/2/2011 TU 5
1/3/2011 TU 15

If you notice now first it is sorted by date (1/1/2011 on top) but the problem is that there are two entries with same date the only way to sort is now the Staff field (so AR will come before ST).
