Matric is equivalent to our Grd 11, ie O levels & Intermediate is Alevels or rather, their FSc.!

ok c i just got my olevel equilivalnce made nd they dint take so much time u noe just 10 days.i did my igcse frm outside pak aswell buh since i came her i had to give pak studs nd islamiat.buh on askin they told me they did this:took only 5 subs ie bio chem phy maths nd english. i had 2A* nd 3 A's so they took the A* as 90 nd A's as 85 nd divided it by 500 nd multiplyed by 100.this makes it 87% nd thn they deducted 2% so i got 85%

WellWisher, If you've given IGCSE, take [(5*85+3*75)/100] X 900, I did it the same way & apparently i was correct!

Y SHOULD I TAKE 85 when a* is at 90!!

i did not repeat and got IGCSE 4 A* 1 A and 3 B(GCE)!!

You're supposed to have it done from Islamabad. Yeah it is confusing, because I don't have anyone in Islamabad. =S

i got 8A's in ma olvls .. dere wr no A stars so ma equivalence wx 764 i gues out of 900 but if u ve got A* without repeating dey r bound 2 take A* as 90 % As as 85% n Bs as 75% .... y dont u juxt giv dem a call n ask dem ????

i heard its different for international students.

I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT....BEARING THT IN MIND:

HERE IS WAT DA FORM SAYS:

IV. Requirements for ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Students:


1. The statement of result of ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels is valid upto maximum six months only. After Six months, original certificate is required and an application without the ‘O’ level / ‘A’ level certificate will not be entertained.


2. If a candidate passes ‘O’ level from abroad and appears for ‘A’ level from Pakistan or vice versa, he/she has to pass Urdu, Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies at SSC or ‘O’ level for obtaining Equivalence Certificate.


3. Copy of the Equivalence Certificate of ‘O’ level issued by IBCC and original of ‘O’ and ‘A’ level certificates must be provided for obtaining Equivalence Certificate of ‘A’ level.


4. The candidate must have passed seven subjects before June 2006 & Eight subjects from June 2006 & onward GCE O-Level, if he appears from Pakistan (including English, Mathematics, Urdu, Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies) and five subjects, if he appears from abroad.

ull make a good 88% buh as they deduct 2% it will b 86%
