IGCSE FRENCH topic conversations

After doing a lot of research and putting in a lot of hard work...i wrote a very good essay about wine made in Bordeaux for my topic conversation...i took it to my teacher and she told me to re-write a much simpler topic: Mes projects d'avenir....I need to know if examiners appreciate high level topics and if so do they like if its based on french culture? My teacher told me that it looks like its translated...but not one word of it is. PLEASE HELP!!! If any CIE expert reads this..I DESPERATELY NEED HELP!!

well i am not an expert but i would still want to share my part.
D topic should be of your personal interest and as far as possible regarding to your thoughts feeling emotions.
Ask yourself does sat wine making really interest you..??
What if she asks you questions like Name an industry which makes wine...
On the contrary if you would written about Cellphones (for example) you could have been easily able to answer like htc or samsung or similar...
HOpe you got what i am saying..
