IGCSE mathematics query

hello everyone :)

I'm a CIE student & i'd like to take edexcel IGCSE mathematics , i checked the list of the subjects and i noticed that there was Mathematics( A) and mathematics (B) , how do they differ ? do i have to take both of them to get the grade ? or only one is enough

Maths A is modular whereas Maths B isn't. Basically, unless you live in the UK, you can't take Maths A, and if you're studying Edexcel Maths abroad then its a given you'll study Maths B because in modular subjects you have to hand in coursework whereas for non-modular ones you just take one final exam and you're graded based on that.
