inequality nd graphs

how to be sure whether the inequality in graph should be > or >(nd equal to sign) ????????

if the question says tht region shaded is satisfied by the inequalities then take any coordinates points from the shaded region and put into the equation......u will urself get the answer tht whether its <,>

no i am saying that whether it is > or the other sign which is also like > but has a line beneath it,..... :S

dude............that depends..look for the question.........mostly they have given one inequality and ask to find others.....see the sign for that inequality given and the lines on the graph whether they are dotted lines or straight ones..........if they have given dotted lines and there the symbol in question given is < then look for the other lines and if they are dotted too then use <,> only no line beneath............it works this way

ALTHOUGH DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN HERE BUT HOPE IT HELPS :D
