although this story is very short, its meaning is really important and huge in our lives
well it goes on like this
There was a Muslim businessman who had his own cargo ship. He was a successful businessman, but he only had 1 cargo ship. One day, as his ship was returning with goods, he received a call from the port that his ship had sank. In spite of this terrifying news, he said
'Alhamdulillah'
The port manager was amazed when he heard this, and he repeated his statement again.
but the businessman said 'Alhamdulillah' again. After a few hours, he received a call again from the port manager but this time he said
'Sir, ur ship has not sunk, but infact another ship which we thought was urs. We apologize for the mistake'
This story demonstrates the firm belief in Allah of the man and how he did not argue that y did Allah Do So. the fact that he said Alhamdulillah' twice also tells us that he had understood the news and not misinterpreted it.
this story teaches us to stand firm when afflicted with calamity, and to respect Allah's Doings for He Created us and everything else and he Also Has the right to take anything from us. If He does so, we shud demonstrate firmness in the calamity.
Allah Says
"And when He Wills something His Command is Be and it is there" (Surah Yasin)
Accordingly these are smaller tests for us that Allah Takes in order to test our faith
just like in ur school, u will have smaller class tests throughout the year and then the finals at the end
so please bros and sises do not say anything to Allah when afflicted with calamity even if it takes everything from u (this man had only 1 cargo ship) but prove to Allah that u are His Righteous servants and that u deserve to go to Paradise
"And those who struggle with might and main, such are those who believe" (Surah Baqara)
May Allah Guide all of us on the right path and Assign us all in to Paradise
