Give me tips on how to attempt the islamiyat papers. Thank you

Also how many references to put in one answer?

lots of tips are VERY welcome. Please help me!

depends on questions in some u have to force one while the other u cud write 3-6 for pillars beliefs ive learned 2-4 for each topic then 1-2 for companions if there are any so it dependson the questions just learn watever u can itll be fine

Abdullah is right.But if you have 4-6 quotations in mind, it doesn't mean u should write them all.2 quotations are enough for a 10 mark question.
For questions which are example based....like ijma qiyas, you have to include atleast 4 examples(which may include atleast 3 quotations)

Oh. Thanks guys. But on average how many do u think are very good for a 4 and 10 mark q? My teacher thinks I should out more in my answers. :S

Well if in a 4 mark question u can manage do write one u cud actually impress the examiner depends how u relate it though but im worried this time what questions are gonna come my friends say oct/nov r harder :/

You won't get any extra mark for writing a quotation in a 4 mark question.4 mark questions are understanding based not knowledge based.Teachers don't know SQUAT about stuff like this....they want us to just fill the sheets with quotations....I can assure you that's not the case.2 quotations will be enough for a 10 mark question trust me

yh I know ur right they do this alot but for eg a question for four marks comes diferences b/w makki madni surahs to deferenciate u cud in makki surahs tell Allah calls upon mankind by 'Oh you mankind' and in madni Allah specially call upon the believers by 'O you who believe' this wud do good hehe

no, its ok if u just write the verse of hadith without any further details of verse number or hadith buk... bt make sure tht u identify whethr u r quoting hadith or quranic verse..
as fr some other tips, make sure u manage ur time vl... u may roughly divide it as follows:
q1: 15 min
q2 n othr 14 mark: 25 min each..
do nt spend more time on q1 as it will only give u 8 marks at most n u may lose a lot in rest 14 mark questions. pay equal focus on each question regarding their marks,... their is no point if u score 14/14 in one and hardly 9/14 in othrs...
for part b's try relating the knowledge with real life today's situation... like fr relations with non-muslims u may include:
- relugious tolerance, full religious freedom
- no compulsion on changing religion
- equal rites as muslims (in case of zimmis)
- u may also include any incident like bomb blast or any voilnce in churches n relate it with how they must b given full security n freedom....
spend 3-5 min b4 starting ppr to decide wich questions u vl b attempting n making a quik plan in mind o how u vl b answering each... this vl avoid confusuin while writing... underline the keywords in question so u may nt add ireelevtnt details.
n just chil, dnt panic

Thnx man actually 4 marks questions are tough I mean u have stop and think over it rather than the stuff u have learned but as for the refernces ill write al quran if I forget the verse there r so many to learn obv I cant remeber all the ayas number anyways thnx

My islamiyat teacher says o/n is easier. Not much but a little.

4 mark questions are harder than 10 marks believe me theyll ask importance of like how isthis belief important for muslim how can he can he act upon it what can leaders learn etc u need to think over here books wont help besides the importance of belief
