Islamiyat Questions

Salam, Hi everyone,

I'm a new member and MAN am I confused when it comes to Islamiyat.

I can see that the Specimen Paper 1 (b) on CIE has changed to "briefly explain the importance of these themes in a Muslims life today", but the specimen mark scheme hasn't changed at all! How are we supposed to answer the question now?

Also, I saw that we're supposed to know a lot about the Sunni and Shia books of Hadith (ie enough to answer the 10 mark question), knowing the number of ahadiths each one related etc. Is this true?

I'm not in Pakistan so I'd really love if anyone could give me some pointers on Islamiyat! We've been rather badly taught and so I mainly rely on my personal study.

The book and notes are useful alhamdulillah but there is still an unresolved question.
HOW am I supposed to answer the part B question? None of the books or notes have updated on this.
