Math paper 1 question about significant figures

hi, guys, i know this question is very very easy but i have forgotton as to why the answer is what it is, so

basically it shows in the book that if you want to change this value: 547.36 into 2 significant figures then the answer will be 550, can someone tell me how that has been done, and for 1 significant figure it will be 500 :/ im a bit stumped on this. So i need someone to thoroughly tell me this concept, so i dont forget thanks guys !

P1 is worth 80 marks and 50% of its marks are used for final marks and P2 is worth 100 marks and it also constitutes of 50% of total marks of the paper

Check the syllabus if u still are confused

Alright thankyou so much Can you tell me what the difference is between igcse and gcse math paper 1 and paper 2? like the paper structure? I think the igcse one has less questions in paper 1 :/ Please do tell me as i have forgotton thanks
