hi guyz :)

can anyone help me to noe the difference btw parallel to nd invariant in transformationz ?
forexample , in shear , when they say x-axis invariant , this is different than parallel to x-axis??
if not , then which one do we take in consideration for writting the matrix , i mean if they said shear x-axis invaritant it will be
(1 k
o 1 )
or
(1 o
k 1 )

in other words , i dnt get the difference between invariant nd parallel :) :)

thaanks !

(1 k)
(0 1) the invariant line is x axis so it is parallel to x axis

(1 0)
(k 1) the invariant line is y axis so it is parallel to y axis

hopeu got it :D

but for stretch its not always the same ??
like i mean if the x-axis was invariant it shouldnt be tht it is parallel to the x-axis ?

thank u:)

yeah for stretch
(k 0)
(0 1) the invariant line is y axis and parallel to x axis

(1 0)
(0 k) the invariant line is x axis and parallel to y axis

hope it helped :D
