Well,
2 + (n-1)4 + 1/2(n-1)(n-2)(2)
2 + 4n - 4 + n^2 - 3n + 2
n^2 + n.

the first difference is 6-2 =4 ok but why is the second difference = 2...shouldnt it be 12 - 6 = 6???
