yeahhhhh.......how did u get that?
We have, y = zero in both of the equations. So,
In line y = 2x + 8; put y as zero, you get point as (-4, zero)
Same,
In line y = 2x - 12; put y as zero, you get point as (6, zero)

Now use distance formula, Whole root of (((6 - (-4))^(2) + (0-0)^(2) = root of 100 which is 10 :)
