actually the correct method to do that question was that we had to find the shortest distance from the base of the pole to base line of the triangle....b/c at that distance angle of depression from a higher point or angle of elevation from a lower point would be the greatest...then we had to use the tangent ratio...that's it :)

did exactly that but was in great doubt at first
this is becuz for other parts you did a small amount of workings for 2-3pts
but here there was a considerable amount of work to be done....

true u had to do different things..no wonder the question had 3 marks...
