about mrs lin:
she has to sit behind a student, right, so she can't sit in the front row... cuz then she can't be behind anybody. so she can sit in the last three rows, and two places in the second row. why only two places and not three? because one space in the front row will be occupied by mrs brown, so it can't be occupied by a student, and mrs lin has to sit behind a student. thus, she can sit in a total of 10 places out of the 12 places left after mrs brown is seated... i think the rest is pretty clear... but feel free to ask if there's any other confusion...
