Maximum marks and grade threshold.

So I was checking the grade thresholds, yesterday (Chemistry) and I noticed that they said that the maximum marks for the syllabus is 200. How is it possible, Paper 1 has 40 marks, Paper 2 and 3 have 80 marks, and paper 5 and 6 have 40. Paper 4 has 48. Either way, it adds up to 160 and 168 (if you take paper 4). Can anyone explain where the other 40 marks come from?

Yeah, sorry about that, but it still adds upto 180, not 200.

yep that confusion same with ict total marks 260 written in oct/nov 2013 gt 263 A*

But the maximum marks is written as 200 for all grade thresholds in all years.

IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME UNDERSTAND?
