can someone describe the working and main principles of ultrasound and MRI?
what is lamour frequency?

Ultrasound waves may be generated using a piezo-electric transducer. (a transducer is the name given to a device that converts one form of energy to another.)
When the quartz crystal is unstretched, the centers of charge of the positive and the negative ions in any one unit coincide.
Electrodes may be formed on opposite sides of the crystal by depositing silver on its surfaces.
When a pd is applied between the electrodes, an electric field is set up in the crystal.
An alternating voltage applied across the crystal causes it to vibrate with a frequency equal to that of the applied voltage.

The spinning about the direction of magnetic field of nuclei has a frequency known as the frequency of precession or the Larmor frequency.
