Sulphric acid reactions
1. Alcohols + conc. sulfric acid = ethene (dehydration)
2. Alcohol + acid = ester (Conditions conc. sulfric acid and temp 100) Esterification
3. -CN + Sulfric acid = Acid
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sodium hydroxide reactions
1. Alkane + alcoholic sodium hydroxide = Alkene
2. halogenoalkanes (CH3-CH2Cl) + Sodium hydroxide aqueous = (CH3-CH2OH) nucleophilic substution
3. Esters hydrolysis > eg:- CH3CH2COOCH2CH3 + sodium hydroxide = (CH3CH2COO-Na+) + (CH3CH2OH)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
GOOD LUCK ;)

Guessing will get you no where. This is how you solve it:
The ratio of the volumes is 5:10, so what you do is, (5/15 *12) + (10/15*6) = 8. The answer is A.
