  • All group I and Ammonium (NH4+) compounds are water soluble.
  • All Nitrates (NO3-) are water soluble.
  • All Carbonates are water insoluble except Gp-I and Ammonium compounds.
  • All Lead (Pb) compounds are water insoluble except Pb(NO3)2.
  • All "Halides" (Cl- , Br- , I-) are water soluble except Pb and Ag.
  • All Sulphates are water soluble except Pb and Gp-II (Ca to Ba) compounds. [ PbSO4, CaSO4, SrSO4, BaSO4 --> INSOLUBLE ]
  • All hydroxides (OH-) are water insoluble except Gp-I, NH4+, and Gp-II(Ca to Ba) compounds. [ Ca(OH)2 , Sr(OH)2 --> SOLUBLE ]
This is taken from Sir Rizwan Khan Yousufzai's Notes. I hope they help :)

well for ) level purposes its good to learn all but if you want to avoid over cramming then skip hydroxides and hydroxides
