Well all of the chapters in these 2 sections are very important. A question can be asked on any of the chapters.

In the War of Independence, you dont have to learn any specific personalities, but the main points are why it began, why it failed, and what were the consequences.

  5. Robert Clive
  6. Warren Hastings
  7. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan
  8. Aurangzeb
Do we have to learn about :
  1. Babur and the Battle with Ibrahim Lodhi
  2. shah Jehan
  3. Jehangir
  4. Akbar
  5. Bahadur shah 2 the last mughal emperor
  6. Humayun

ummm well to clear this all i dont think there is anything like a question on personalities like in english Literature they wont ask to write Aurangzebs character or his way of life but u have to learn abt how his decisions were and how they influenced others plus the history like the fall of mughals etc. like this make sure u have the syllabus whhile u read the book particularly for the first time, for now it may look like extra work getting it printed but in the long run its gonna benefit surely ill promise that :p

So when you will see the syllabus u will get the idea from where u must know abt the mughals and what u need to know so always for any subject look at the syllabus its not only for teachers :p :D

For those appearing in Oct/Nov this session go here :D

Actually..If you see papers from 1994 they have asked us about mahmud of ghazni, muhammad bin qasim, battle of panipat first battle between babur and lodhi sultans

yEAH thats right but u see syllabus is changed every five or four years so questions and the paper pattern of the 90s in now not repeated and those questions are useless so its better if u want to prepare from past papers for the exams u go from 2000 onwards doing 1990s questions is a waste of time for this subject only :p
