How can you tell what is the minimum raw mark required to achieve a percentage uniform mark of 100% i.e. what is the threshold band after the A grade.
So say for example the minimum mark for an A grade (80%) in AS Economics was 90/120, what would be the minimum raw mark required then for a percentage uniform mark of 90%, or of 100% - how can you tell ? Could it be that since the minimum raw mark required for a B grade was 78/120, which is 12 marks below the threshold for A, that hence the minimum raw mark for 90% would be 90+12=102/130? Hence would that mean a raw mark of 114/130 could achieve a percentage uniform mark of 100? (CIE gives the grade threshold band between other grades, like there is 12 marks between a B and an A, but it doesnt show you what the upper limit of the grade threshold band is between an A and a 100%)
