can anyone gives some ideas on how to outline an experiment to demonstrate diffraction of transverse and longitudinal wave like in ON 08 Q6 b (i) and (ii).
do i have to draw 3D diagram?

any diagram attached is highly appreciated. :)

You can draw diagrams for more clarity but it's time consuming and there isn't much space for them on the paper.
Just explain the Diffraction Grating Experiment in a few lines, and that should be sufficient. Just go through the examiner report and marking scheme to cover it fully ;)

A diagram wouldn't be necessary. Just outline what's needed. If you really want to draw a diagram, 2D will do.

The first part's basically a slit experiment e.g water/ripple tank/screen or microwave transmitter/receiver. In the second one, you'll probably just have to change the source e.g sound via loudspeaker, and receiver e.g microphone.
