for 51 that uses log the error can be calculated by:
log x - log y
where x is the original value and y is maximum value for R
e.g log990 - log1000
and you have d +- error

for 52 that uses squaring t:
change in t divided by t multiply by t square and 2
e.g 0.01/0.35 x 2x 0.123
where 0.123 is d value of t square.

and yes apply this to all log and squaring absolute errors.
