If u hav a look at ur syllbus carefuly,
you may get some hints
if ur correct wih independent, depenent and constant variables, u'll gain 3 marks
a diagram is for 2 marks and method for 5 marks but shouldbe concise
jut read the question carefully and note the things to b measured
usrliable istruments like
cro for time base and hence frequency
remember cro displays time base not he exact time..u'll need to deduce the tim period
hall probe for mafnetic field strength. it is used to get a hall voltgage which depends n the magnetic field
vernier caliper for dpth and diameter of a hole(inne)
micrometer screw gauze for of diameter of rod*(outer)
others are ammeter but if the current is very low just in case of high resistance use of galvanometer
voltmeter, ohmeter should be used with no power supply (mostly in case of ldr and thermistor relate to intensity)
you mut be aware of all the formulas for use of these instruments

2 marks for safty and precution
hot wires n case of high resistace, thermister, avoid using gloves. dont make mistake writing donttouch
safety glasses for light
high sound etc

4 marks for additional info
like
x=ay^n is lgx=lga+nlgy gain 1 if relation is given
if direct measurement is not possible use od formulae ca generate mrks
use of improved instruments but not sophisticated
more safety and percautions
if ur diagram and method are quite releavent you can get more marks for these

well if u include use of graphs, it would be better
if u include ternd of graph correctly
like curved +vely or -ve straight with +ve or -ve gradient etc u'll again gain some marks(for dependent against independent)
better if ur ans shows required measurement is directly propotioal to gradient or equal

Don't panic, it is really quite simple.

There are five portions the plan should be broken into:
Defining the problem: [3]
- Identify and state the independent variable and the dependent variable (usually both are the part of a single mark)
- Identify and state one constant
- Identify and state another constant
Methods of data collection: [5]
- Appropriate diagram drawn with complete detail (two marks here, usually)
- How to vary the independent variable (which instrument to use when measuring the variable and how it is to be used)
- How to measure the dependent variable (which instrument to use when measuring the variable and how it is to be used)
- Abstract point (How to determine the way your are measuring or the place to be measured is correct and such)
Method of analysis: [2]
- Plot graph of dependent variable (or derivative of dependent variable) against independent variable (or derivative of independent variable)
NOTE: Derivative means something calculated from the respective variable, like lnx or 1/x or x^2
- State what the graph should look like (straight line through origin or straight line with negative gradient or straight line with an intercept) and state that the relationship is only valid if this sort of graph is produced.
Safety considerations: [1]
- Too hot, don't touch is allowed! When glass is used, say the edges may be sharp, risk of cutting oneself. Same with experiments involving the use of sharp-edged tools. Almost all electricity experiments may involve heating so you are free to write the above. Also, if you mention switching off the apparatus after use to avoid overheating, it could work. Physical hazards including corrosion and such could be mentioned in specific cases.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: [4]
- This is the difficult part that strictly relies on your knowledge of the physical syllabus and understanding on what the examiner wants from your paper. Points may range from the means to keep the constant variables in check to manipulating mathematical equations so that you get a sraight line for your graph. Mentions of other constants and other safety precautions as well as additional implications on your diagram may contribute to these four marks. These are the only ones actually difficult to obtain. Good luck! :D
