A question came on like shade box in M/J O level CIE 2012, paper 1. its the First question how do I do that? :S

i dont get it man, -__- how did u do it? like whats the techniqueHaving a rotational symmetry of order 2 means that while rotating the diagram in a clockwise of 360 degrees (or anti clockwise for it matters ),
you should get the starting image twice.
In this question the diagram is basically lyk this

so you gotta shade 2 squares such that when you rotate the square 360 degrees you get the exact starting image twice
so it shld be lyk that

after a rotation of 180degrees, you will get the first similar image, and after 360 degrees you get the second one

any link to understand this chapter?I'm pretty sure theres no formula for such questions... You better just try your best to understand the question and scenario... its not that hard once you get it

just keep rotating the image till you get the one yu had in the start. then just write down the number of times u rotated nd gott the figure.
