Ans to 13 is B

At max height vertical component of velocity is zero so no kinetic energy through that component.
The only component is the horizontal one which remains same throughout the motion so the K.E is
cos45*E = 0.71E

Ans to 14 is D

Due to conservation law momentum before and after is equal
so
2*2 + 1*x =0
x = -4

Energy stored in spring is equal to K.E of both trolleys
M1V1 + M2V2 = 0
E = 0.5*2*2^2 + 0.5*1**(-4)^2
= 12 J

thanx for the 14th one bt u got 13th one wrong...see at highest point it will hav horizontal component of velocity as its total velocity.so v will be v cos45
initially k.e was .5mv*2
now k.e is .5 m(vcos45)*2 that comes .25 mv*2 i.e is .5 times of initiall value.....so anser is A
