can anyone tell me that when drawing a histogram is it the frequency density that we have to plot or the height of the rectangle?? some of the questions themselves say that u hav to draw a particular class to dat height..... but in examinar reports it is written dat the vertical axis should be labelled wid frequency density??? is it the same even if we plot height of rectangle??

plz answer me quickly.....

In histograms, the frequency of the data is shown by the area of the bars and not just the height.

Histograms are most commonly used for continuous data.

Histograms often have bars of varying width, i.e. unequal class intervals. This is not a problem as we are dealing with area, not just the height.

The vertical axis of a histogram is labeled frequency density and is calculated by the following formula:

Frequency density = .frequency.
Frequency density = class width
