What if someone missed a CIE paper??

AsSalamu Alaikum wr wb,

There is someone I know who missed her Alevel CIE practical exam! It was due to some misunderstanding in the timings of the paper. Now that girl is really worried what to do, she have given paper 2_the theory, paper 1 MCQ paper is still left... Is there any chances of her getting an A, if she scores good in p1???

i know a friend who got a "U" in practical but managed to score overall A.
ps. his Paper2 and Paper1 was off the hook, so it isn't easy but again it aint impossible either.
