What in the World is GPA?

Alright, I have seen several unis require SATs and a GPA. I do understand what the SATs are, but have no idea about the GPA. Like it is a special examination like the SAT?

G.P.A grade pint average. its the grade you get after the end of each semister in a university. you donot need a G.P.A though there is a way to calculate it for an american university as in American High School Diploma they give G.P.A

What A star said, GPA (Grade Point Average) is essentially the "grading system" of the American AP- Advanced Placement, which is calculated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 3 or 4 being a mandatory for good universities. Don't worry, A-levels and IB are equivalent to the AP. Grades and/or percentages, along with SATs are sufficient for your admission process.
