Lucknow pact : Muslims were upset with the british at the cancellation of the partition of bengal. they added self rule in their demands in 1913 which brought the hindus n muslims together n it was believed independance could be achieved more quickly if both worked together. Through jinnahs effort the pact was signed at the annual session of the hindus n muslims at Lucknow. In the past separate electorate wa sgranted to the muslims, one third of seats in the central legislature were to be given to muslims..principal of weightage and provincial autonomy was agreed upon.
