I solved it long ago, and i'm checking my copybook, I hope you solved part (i) correctly.. when you sketch it, you have the angle and the opposite side is (10/a^2 +4) and the adjacent side is (5a/a^2 + 4) so to find the tan of the angle which they provided, you need to write tan(3pi/4) = opp/adjHello , is there any kind soul out there who can help me with Q7 (ii) ? Sorry i skipped the part where i got the limits.. you just substitute x = 5 and x = 2 in u = sqrt (6- x) to get 2 and 1 respectively, but since they asked us to flip the limits, we multiply the entire integrand by -1 thus getting rid of the - 10 u !!

Hello. This gives : tan (3pi/4) = 10/5a
[shift] tan(3pi/4) = 10/5a
-1 = 10/5a
a= -2
