    Hmm, well, the first thing would be to express the new roots in terms of another variable; let's take y. So, y= (x/x-2), no? Further, y= 1- (2/x-2). Therefore, x= 2+ (2/1-y).     Further Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

    Hmm, I have a doubt. Determine the value of m such that the equations x^3+ mx- 1 = 0 and x^3- 3x + m= 0 have a common root. I eliminate x^3 and x from the equations to try and get an equation for m. I somehow end up with a quartic equation in m, which I can't really solve. Any ideas, guys?
