AS Chemistry Practical - Paper 34

heheheheh I just understood my mistake :D By the reaction of SO4^2- with Pb^2+ (As in page 9), white PPT is given :D

AS Chemistry Practical - Paper 34

Btw, I didn't understand why they chose the cation is Lead (Pb2+), based on the fact that Na2CO3 & Na2SO4 react with FB6 to give a white ppt!? (Like, anything gives white ppt..) And then based on reaction of NaOH with FB6, to we didn't test with NH3, so how do we know which metal is used?

AS Chemistry Practical - Paper 34

Well in this question the observations were a brown gas given off (and as the questions warns you that 2 gases are released), usually with nitrates NO2 (brown) and oxygen (relights a glowing splint).

AS Chemistry Practical - Paper 34

Depends on which solid you're heating. Heating means thermal decomposition. E.g: Carbonates release CO2 Nitrates release NO2 and O2

AS Practical Paper 34 - Apparatus?

Not that of great deal, but theoretically yes. Although it is a practice to take the rough titre volume, perform one more accurate reading and fake the rest values to show that you have repeated :D

Help in AS Biology paper 3 !

NEVER use your memory. ALWAYS draw what you see, and according to how it is asked. If you're asked to draw a low power plan diagram, DON'T draw cells, just make lines for layers of cells.
