    Physics paper 31 , (a death call)

We know that the current at the 3 ohm resistor was 0.8A (yeah 3 ohm and 2 ohm position switched in my diagram) Since the voltage is the same in parallel, the voltage at 2ohm = voltage at 3 ohm So I1R1=I2R2 where I1 = 0.8A, R1= 3 ohms and R2 = 2 ohms so 0.8*3=2*I2 I2 = 1.2A The voltage is split...

How did u ppl do in the Physics paper 3 2012 today?

No you didn't. Mess up that is. A LOT OF PEOPLE had troubles with the exam, the grade threshold for sure will be low. You did good in p1 right? That's 30% of total mark, and you can still do P6. You lost, what, maximum maximum 15 marks? That's 15/80 which translates to a loss of 9%. If you...

    physics p6 doubts

My only doubt concerns the improving of experiments and such. Increasing accuracy, reliability etc. :| But I'm not too worried, I'm great with the rest and that's only a few marks, and even then I can usually score them ;)

What are your opinions on gay rights?

Do you like writing and eating with your feet and and walking with your hands? No. Now let's say you put this amount of liking on a scale, where 5 is neutral, 0 is you hate it and 10 is you love it. You would say 0 wouldn't you. He said that he likes gay rights as much as you like walking with...

I'm so sorry I took so long! This is the answer using trigonometry. Do you want the method using vectors?

What are your opinions on gay rights?

EDIT: He's being sarcastic. Do you favour using your hands to walk and using your feet to eat and write? You don't. And that's how much he favours gay rights; i.e. he doesn't favour gay rights. I don't approve of homosexuality but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have the same rights as us. I...

    Physics paper 31 , (a death call)

Lol i'm not tooo worried. I mean I know I did good. I'm sorry bout your papers though :( Are you so desperate to make yourself believe that you didn't lose those 5 marks that you will start insulting me? You're right about glass being a bad conductor of heat but that actually makes my answer...

What are your opinions on gay rights?

That's a naive opinion. I'm sorry but without divorce it could be much worse. It's even worse for the children when a couple who is slowly starting to hate each other or already do are not divorcing, because all the stress & tension accumulates. Shouting, arguments, each parent trying to make...

I really, really, REALLY don't care what you think. Yes evaporation occurs at any temperature but it will not occur fast enough to see a sudden lowering of height!

    Physics paper 31 , (a death call)

Because of the other resistor The two resistor's in parallel have an effective resistance of 1.2 ohms. However it's not the only resistor, it's as if you have a 1.2 ohm resistor and the resistor R in series. The voltage is split between those two resistors.

    Physics paper 31 , (a death call)

Wrong. That experiment is actually given in our book. The reason the solid expands first is because solids conduct heat faster, so it will receive and spread the heat before it conducts to liquid. Liquid gets the heat off the glass via conduction, so the glass will expand first before the liquid...

fyi The CIE released a statement saying they're confident with their security measures and that people can discuss as they wish except for certain things like ICT practical. So yeah, it's just xtremepapers who're doing this
