    Yes, i got it. The 2 who do not want to sit together are made to, and then the answer is subtracted from the total number of possibilities. Possibilities in which they sit together =3!(for the three in a family)*2!(for the 2 who do not want to sit together) *5!(for the remaining 3 and 2 blocks)...

    The question will tell you how to start and, usually, how to end too, otherwise they just tell you to provide a "suitable" ending. This is what I've seen in the past 2011 papers (both May/June & Nov/Oct).

    Tell me which calculators are allowed in add math paper, cuz i got this calculator that can do integration/differentiation and other stuff... we were told that calculators that can do "symbolic" integration and differentiation will not be allowed.
