    Chemistry Guess??

I heard that electrolysis of Aluminium could come, and maybe Haber/Contact Process might come in the paper. But like CaptainDanger said, it is pretty pointless to rely on a guess paper because the syllabus is really big and anything can come, you never know. It's better just reading the syllabus...

    Physics 5054

For one, we're apparently not allowed to discuss the contents of the paper unless 24 hours have passed because it's a rule here. Secondly, there isn't any point because the paper is already over and if you find out some of your answers are wrong, you're just going to feel a bit depressed or...

    Physics 5054

Or you could discuss it on chat, the mods don't really bother checking people out over there. I don't want to discuss the paper, though. There's no point.

HOW WAS THE PHYSICS PAPER 5054??

Usman... I'm quite sure that was only feasible one out of all the options (There was N for emf which was pretty lol, kg/N^3 for pressure which is wrong and kg for weight which isn't right either) so B has got to be the answer. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I think latent heat is just a form...

    Physics 5054

I wrote 2.5s too, but you never know. We could be wrong and you could be right. But I agree, it's best to not to discuss the contents of the paper because we could get banned. :(

    Urgent PHY help needed..!

I think it's like this...? Anyhow, the angle of incidence should be equal to the angle of reflection so keep that in mind when making the actual ray.

    Urgent PHY help needed..!

The answer is D. When both are joined together, their extension is x cm, so their separate extensions would be 2x cm. Since they are hanging one below the other, it'll be 2x + 2x = 4x cm.

    Urgent PHY help needed..!

The initial acceleration is 10ms-2. Eventually the acceleration will go to zero (I proved this already in my terminal velocity explanation above as the forces will become balanced and the net force will be zero, hence the acceleration will be zero), so it will decrease (from 10 to 0). As for the...

    Computer Paper discussion

Yeah, this is pretty much how it is. It was very easy compared to some algorithms (in my opinion at least). Alternatively, you could write If (End_time < Start_time) on line 7. My paper was good although I did made a few mistakes. :(

    Past papers help...(Radioactivity)

The charge on a beta particle is -1, it will increase the proton number by 1. Since it does this twice, it goes to 92. Then the alpha particle has a charge of +2 and makes it go back to 90.

    Slip rings??????

The split ring causes the direction of the magnetic field in the armature to change as the motor rotates. If it wasn't there the motor wouldn't rotate. A slip ring is used in AC generator which causes the direction of the magnetic field to change with the AC waveform. (edit: typo)

    Urgent PHY help needed..!

I'll give you an example. When a ball is dropped from a certain height, its speed will increase. But over time, the upward force (air resistance) will have the same magnitude as the downward force (weight) so the forces are balanced and it moves at a constant speed. This constant speed =...

Cambridge`s Reply to me on Chemistry Paper 4 ATP mistakes

Re: Cambridge`s Reply to me on Chemistry Paper 4 ATP mistake What mistakes were there in the paper anyway? I only noticed some unit error in the graph question. Nothing major. o_o

    Add Maths.....

I just wanted to add that if you take Add Maths, then certain chapters in Maths should become a cakewalk (co-ordinate geometry for example).

    COMPUTER PAPER HELP AVAILABLE HERE

Yeah but summer or winter 2007 (and which q no)?? Is this even an O-level related question? Break-point refers to when you put a mark on a piece of code, so that when the code runs it will stop at the line which contains the mark. Here's an example: START line 1 line 2 line 3 <- suppose this...

How is everyone preparing for computers?

-Read all 5 booklets and attempt the practice questions (these booklets are extremely useful!). -Make sure you know common Q/A like expert systems, operating systems, logic gates, process control/monitoring, etc. since they come every other year. -Make sure you know how to write algorithms...
