    All chemistry Doubts here :)

    For Hydra: The formula for the acid is C4H4O4 right. So, it is an acid. As it is dibasic, 2 H+ ions for every one mole reacted. Now, taking this into account, it should be possible to split it into two equal parts.. HOOCCH=HOOCCH The truth is, the question is rather challenging, and I do...

    Chemistry doubt

    The hydrogen is reduced as it changes from a H+ ion into a H2 gas. Meaning, electrons were gained. The zinc changes into zinc ions in the solution as it gets smaller. This means it changes from Zn to Zn2+, meaning that it loses electrons, and thus it is oxidised.

    Physics p31 discussion (come we didnt discuss it at all)

    I think it was like 2620 or something like that in seconds.. Because you had to work out the time taken for the shockwave to be felt, 240s, then the difference between that and the time taken for the tsunami to arrive. What did you guys write for the measurements to be taken for the power? I...

    Pls Help !! Chemistry paper 3 ???

    Ahh, I think I know how to find x too. If 1 mole reacts to form 1 mole of CO2, then 3 + x = 5 => x = 2.

    Pls Help !! Chemistry paper 3 ???

    For the first one: d.i) 1 mole takes up 24dm^3, so 5 moles were formed. ii) If 5 moles were formed, then using the second equation, (EDIT) As the question says that 1 mole was formed, y=2. iii) I have no idea how to find x. For the second one: a) Energy Saved = 250 x 95/100 =237.5 This...

    guyz, quick paper 1 question

    I think it would be Copper (ii) Oxide.. Mainly because, copper firstly would be too low in the reactivity series to react with the HCl itself.. So I just thought of it like preparing salts, ie, an insoluble base and an acid produces a soluble salt right? So in theory it should be Copper (ii) Oxide.
