AS LEVEL BIOLOGY... discuss here AS students only :)

Facilitated diffusion is the diffusion of ions and polar molecules (Such as glucose) through carrier/transport proteins down a concentration gradient without the use of ATP energy. It's basically diffusion, but through carrier proteins in the cell membrane. That's all you need to know :)

I wrote the same thing. The greater the difference in electronegativity, the stronger the bond, so more energy is needed to break the bond

Complete AS Biology Notes (P1 and P2)

I do remember seeing some questions about the thickness of the cell membrane which is 7 nm, but the rest are mostly Which organelle is larger than the other? (which is a bit obvious). [Chloroplasts are larger than microchondria]

    The equation was 4x + 6(-242) + 4(-42) = -906 So x = +90.5 If you input -90.5 the equation cannot add up to -906

Sorry I got confused ^_^ You're right it's NO REACTION. It's okay me and my classmates all got differing answers ranging from 1% to 2%. Depends if you rounded it up throughout the parts or only at the end. Personally I rounded it to 3 sf for each answer, getting 44.6 as my final answer...

One of my friends also got 80% because he did something else in the (ii) of the moles question. I'm sure there's an E.C.F on the question, so as long as you showed your working and it's correct according to your answers, then they'll just minus you one or two marks!

I got 10 electrons i think? It wasn't a normal number. We were supposed to leave the double bond and replace the OH with Cl. I didn't do that though T_T Made it a halogenoalkane with an OH.
